We do not have a minimum requirement for the weddings we create.  We have worked with many flower budgets from modest to lavish, and we can create a lovely wedding on a limited budget when expectations are realistic.


Samples
After booking your wedding with Nunan’s, if pictures and discussions do not give you a clear vision of your choices, we can make bouquet or centerpiece samples for you; however, there would be a charge for these samples.  You may also view our wedding work by appointment.  On Thursday or Friday, you may look at the work being done for that weekend’s weddings.  The appointment must be between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.  As these are the busiest days of the week, we offer only a brief appointment for you to take a quick look at our work.  We cannot offer appointments for these brief viewings on weekends, as it is an extremely busy time adding finishing touches to and packing weddings.


Visiting Ceremony and Reception Locations

If you wish to make a visit to your ceremony or reception location to discuss decorations, we will be happy to do so; however, there will be a charge, computed on an hourly basis, for this service.


Rental Items

In addition to the personal flowers and arrangements that you purchase for your wedding, we have additional items available on a rental basis to further decorate ceremony and reception locations.  Such items include pedestals on which to place large arrangements, special centerpiece containers, chuppahs, lights, arches, trellises, lattice panels, trees (available with lights), and green plants such as ferns and ivy.


Flower Delivery and Set Up Charges

Included in our delivery and set up charge are stops at three locations: the bride’s dressing address, the ceremony location, and the reception site.  This fee is based on distance traveled and the amount of decorating at the ceremony and reception locations.  If you wish to have decorations moved from the ceremony location to the reception site, the delivery charge will be adjusted accordingly.


Delivery Times

Personal flowers such as boutonnieres and corsages being delivered to the bride’s dressing address are usually delivered two hours prior to the wedding time or may be timed to coincide with the arrival of the photographer.

Personal flowers such as boutonnieres, corsages, and church decorations are delivered an hour prior to the ceremony, depending on the amount of decorating necessary.  An important factor on delivery time for a ceremony at a Roman Catholic Church on a Saturday evening is the 4:00 pm Mass.  Our delivery person will be ready to enter the church as soon as the parishioners have left.

Reception flowers are delivered at the convenience of the function hall and Nunan’s.  The flowers are delivered to the function hall for placement on tables by our team.


Flower Care Upon Delivery

In creating your wedding designs, we use fresh, well-conditioned flowers, and the designs are kept refrigerated and misted for freshness until the moment they are placed in our sparkling white delivery boxes.  Upon receipt of the flowers, they should be kept in a cool place away from direct light and heat.  If the bouquets have hand-tied stems, a water source will be provided.

Our delivery person will take the boxes into the house for further handling and distribution by you or someone you have designated to carry out the task.  We offer the service of handling the bouquets to the wedding party and the pinning of corsages and boutonnieres at an additional service fee computed on an hourly basis.


Deposit and Payment Schedule

After your initial wedding consultation, we will send you a flower proposal with both the description of your package and a budget total for you to review.  This will give you an opportunity to make any necessary corrections, additions, or deletions.  To book your wedding order with Nunan’s, we request a $100 deposit.  Once received, we will place your wedding date on our calendar.  You can make payments on the balance due at any time.  We do require that the amount be paid in full two weeks prior to the wedding date, at which time we place the flower order.

Initial Wedding Consultation

We do not charge a fee for our wedding consultations.  It is helpful to know the color and style of the dresses, as they will dictate the color scheme of the flowers and influence the design and shape of the bouquets.  Dress swatches are very helpful in planning the color scheme and necessary if ribbons are to be matched exactly.  The colors of the mothers’ dresses are not necessary at this time.


Choosing Flowers and Styles

Once a color scheme is established, we next choose shape and style.  We have lovely wedding design books to use as inspiration, as well as pictures of our work, including the reception centerpieces that are included in the package plans of the various event facilities that we service.  Please feel free to bring pictures of bouquets and flowers that you like.  It gives us an important first impression of your taste in flowers.

We carry an extensive selection of fresh flowers and should have many of your choices to show you.  If something is not in stock, we have pictures of individual flowers for reference.

We hear a lot about seasonal flowers.  This is true in some cases, but with access to flowers from around the world, most flowers are available despite the season.  Our designers keep availability in mind when recommending particular flowers.  It is important to remember that flowers are not a manufactured item and are subject to growing conditions at their source.  If we find that a major flower will not be available in time for your wedding, we will contact you with a suggested alternative.

Making Changes in Your Flower Plan

With a little homework on your part and good advice and knowledge on our part, there should be few changes after your review of the floral plan.  As time progresses, there will probably be an addition or deletion of corsages or boutonnieres, but we ask that only emergency changes be made after the flower order has been placed.  The number of centerpieces is the last item to be finalized, two weeks to ten days prior to the wedding.
